We are planning to update the forum software (vbulletin) some time between christmas and new year, therefore i think this is a good opportunity to ask to the whole furry hypnosis community about the forums and your experience so far on them


The hypnosis staff would deeply appreciate this feedback from the users, it would make our job easier and as for the users, it would greatly improve your forum experience, that's why its important that you tell us everything you think without holding anything back, if you feel like answering but not having your answer being public, feel free to send a forum Private Message to Hypnosnake with your answers, they will be kept confidential, the most important things the staff would like to know are the following ones:

• Which forum section its the most sucessful and why?
• Which forum section its the less sucessful and why?
• Which forum section would you remove and/or you find useless and why?
• Which forum section topic would you add and why?
• Which forum functions do you like the most and why?
• Which forum functions you dont like the most and why?
• Which forum sections would you add to the forums and why?
• If we integrated a Blog Sytem to the forums, how often would you use it?
• How useful would you find if we integrated external websites to this site into your profile (link to your FA/f-list/console gamertag/etc)
• What is your opinion on the custom rankings for dom/switch/sub? anything you would add?

Other than perhaps the sci/tech forum, most seem to be doing their job well enough. Maybe a personals section?

Integrating outside sites is okay, but I do that with a forum signature as well as anything else.

Blog...not so much.

The social groups are vastly underused and can go away.

The ranks...hm. I think some need some work.

Colors are okay...maybe a bit lighter.

I personally blocked the wheel -- it was annoying. The shifting effect I can take or leave.

How about cleaning up the emoticons? The chinchy ones are rather...eh.

Unfortunately I haven't been active long enough to say anything about threads themselves but I like the visual aesthetic. I wouldn't change it.

I have been here so I can't say much but...

All posts, just the way the box is colored makes it seem like the whole thing is quoting.

There are some forums that are 'must keep' for instance RP forum, and general chat forum. I don't think anyone would get rid of them, but I just want to throw that out there.

Also, maybe expanded avatar size. Everyone loves avatars and if they were bigger we wouldn't have to shrink our pictures as much (which reduces quality). I'm pretty sure the largest size forums can do is 200x200, that seems reasonable.

Also, it'd be cool if their was some built in feature displayed next to posts that if you hover the cursor over the link you can see the person's character profile. On that topic, something similar so you can see a whole reference picture, and maybe another tab that asks you if you're 18+ where people can post a possibly NSFW reference picture.

One last thing, I know this is a furry hypnosis forum, but maybe we can orient it more 'anything furry' it seems almost too strictly hypnosis. Also I'd have to agree with getting rid of the spinner, it bogs down internet speed and I'd think if someone was using dial-up or something it would completely slow them down.

That's all I can think of right now.

Which forum section its the most sucessful and why?


The RP Forum. It seems to not only have to most posts, but the most activity. Sci/Tech Shindig could probably be done without. There's not much going on in there, and not too much interesting.

Pretty cool. I don't really use them, but they are certainly nifty.

The dark colors work well enough. They are straightforward and easy to read. I don't know if anyone would want a clear skin. I kind of doubt that I would use it. As for the hypnowheel at the top of the forum, it's kind of distracting. Unfortunately, it has garnered some attention when I was checking out the hypno boards in public places, so I kind of disagree with it. The avatars, I find, make posts easier to discern from one another, so that's a cool feature.

I'm here only for a very short while so I can't say I have a lot to say but I'll try to contribute on a few points:
- I like the dark skin. I have a bad sight and it is really easy to read for me.
- I like the hypno spiral. It is very good...

- I don't feel a strong need for most of the new features proposed
- I like the thread layout as it is but don't feel strongly about it

I'd say it's the Hypnofurs' Hall of Thralls, it's what this site is all about after all.

The Sci/Tech Shindig, It kinda falls out of the frame on a hypno-site, don't you think?

I think I'd add a section for links to hypno related sites and files. Having them fragmented all over the board like this is just a hassle...

Well, I like that I can communicate an exchange myself with other, like minded people here and even RP.

Interesting, though it would probably help if there was an explanation to it. I'm still confused as to just what they are.

Yeah, it's okay I guess. 3/10 points.

I'd like a skin that already underlines the hypno part, like with spirals and stuff...

It's nice. The only thing I miss is that you can't click on it to make it fullscreen. beleive me, I tried. Several times.

This is marvelous! Never seen it anywhere before. 10/10 points.

Nah, just give them no ava at all.

It's spartanic. 08/15. Boring. Functional. Meh!
